Apple TV+ launches in Australia on November 2nd, 2019. An all-new streaming service by Apple featuring original stories from the most creative minds in TV and film.
Like other streaming platforms, Apple TV+ will be available on a range of devices and services – even outside of Apple products. The purpose of this article is to provide a summary of where and how you can use Apple TV+.
Where To Watch
Using the streaming service will be easy, simply look for the Apple TV app. The icon of this app is black and features a white Apple logo with the text “TV”. And chances are you will also have it if you have an iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, or Mac.
The Apple TV app is home to Apple TV+, but it is also where you can watch TV, news, movies, and sports from a range of content providers.
The Apple TV app is available on:
iPhone and iPod Touch with the latest iOS installed
Over the next coming months, Apple TV app is expected to be on even more devices including smart streaming sticks, more smart TVs, and more.
Another option to watch Apple TV+ is online. Simply navigate to https://tv.apple.com in your browser. Browsers supported include Safari, Firefox, or Google Chrome.
The Apple TV app should not be confused with the smart streaming products Apple sell called Apple TV 4K and Apple TV HD. While the Apple TV app is built-in them you do not need either of those two products to use Apple TV+.
However, Apple TV 4K is perhaps the best product to purchase for Apple TV+ as it will let you watch content on compatible TVs in up to 4K with Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos technology.
Pricing and Signing Up
When the service launches on November 2nd, 2019 it will be become possible to sign up from within the app. The process will be very similar to the way you can purchase apps from the App Store, or signing up to other Apple services such as Apple Music and Apple News+.
