Apple announces 15-inch MacBook Air

The MacBook Air, one of Apple’s most popular Mac models, has been updated with new features. These include a larger 15.3-inch display, an Apple M2 chip, up to 18 hours of battery life, and a six-speaker sound system.

You can order all models of the 15-inch MacBook Air from Apple’s official website or an Apple Authorised Reseller. The recommended retail price for the product starts at A$2,199, but students and teachers can get it for just A$1,999.

And it’s only possible with Apple silicon,” said John Ternus, Apple’s senior vice president of Hardware Engineering. “From its expansive Liquid Retina display and remarkably thin and fanless design to extraordinary battery life and an immersive six-speaker sound system, the new MacBook Air has it all.”

The 15-inch MacBook Air has impressive features, including a larger display at 15.3 inches, an Apple M2 chip, up to 2TB in storage and 24GB of memory, a 1080p camera, and a silent fanless design with TouchID. What’s more, it boasts the world’s thinnest 15-inch laptop design.

Pricing and availability

The recommended retail price for 15-inch MacBook Air models in Australia is A$2,199 and they come in four colours: midnight, starlight, silver, and space grey. Eligible students and teachers can save A$200 with Apple’s educational pricing offer. The 13-inch MacBook Air models with M2 chip are now more affordable, starting at just A$1,799 or A$1,649 for eligible students and teachers.
