Apple advising to shop early for Christmas delivery

This year many more are expected to buy their Christmas gifts online due to the ongoing global pandemic. As a result and constraints of manufacturing and logistics, many products are expected to experience insufficient stock. So much so Apple is now advising on its website to shop early.

A banner on Apple’s website now advises ‘Shop early online to get all your gifts in time for the holidays’. While several key product lines from Apple are already experience extended shipping dates. HomePod Mini, for example, is already pushed back towards the end of the year. While selected iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Watch models are slowly extending into December.

Last weeks newly announced products – Mac mini, MacBook Air, and MacBook Pro with Apple M1 Chip are also seeing some models pushed into December.

As a result, Apple is already offering extended returns on just about all orders from Apple’s online store. All products delivered by November 10th and December 25th can be returned free up until January 8th, 2021.

Shopping tips

  • order your Christmas gifts earlier if possible
  • check and review delivery time during checkout
  • choosing an in-store pickup from an Apple Retail store may be quicker
