Following the unveiling of the new 24-inch iMac, Apple has quietly lowered pricing on all MacBook Air and MacBook Pro models. And those eligible for student pricing can save even more. The price cuts arrive at the same time Apple also lowered pricing on new 11-inch iPad Pro models, as reported earlier.
Pricing on the MacBook Air range now starts at A$1,499, A$100 less than previously. The higher-end MacBook Air model with 512GB storage and Apple M1 chip now costs A$1,849, A$100 less than before.
However, largest price cuts can be found within the MacBook Pro range. 13-inch MacBook Pro models with an Apple M1 chip now priced A$100 lower, from A$1,899. All 13-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models with Intel processors have had their prices cut by A$300.
Mac Mini pricing remains the same.

New MacBook Air and MacBook Pro prices have now been updated on Apple’s online store, retail stores, and most Authorised Apple Resellers.
Students, teachers, and others eligible for Apple Educational Pricing can save even more. A$150 off the recommended retail price on all MacBook Air and 13-inch MacBook Pro models. And A$290 on all 16-inch MacBook Pro models.
