Earlier Disney released new information about their video streaming service, Disney+. Including an Australian release date of November 19th, 2019. And how much the service will cost.
Additionally, where and how we will be able to access the service. With confirmation, many Apple products will be compatible. Plus it will be integrated within the all-new Apple TV app.
Compatible Products
Disney+ will work like many other streaming services – via an app that can be installed on many platforms. Along with the ability to watch directly from the Disney+ website.

Integration with Apple TV app
Another place we will be able to find and watch content on Disney+ is from the new Apple TV app. One that can now be found on iPhone and iPad and Apple TV. And from Spring, 2019 it will be arriving to the Mac.
The Apple TV app links to content (TV shows and Movies) from several different platforms. Making it much easier to discover and watch content. ABC iView, 9Now, 7Plus, SBS On Demand, 10 Play, iTunes Movies and TV Shows, and more are just some of the providers in Australia. And soon it will gain support from Disney+ and Apple TV+ (Apple’s upcoming video streaming service).
Integration with the Apple TV app has a lot of benefits. From being able to continue right where you left off from another device. Getting personalised recommendations. Or be notified of when a new episode of a series you are watching.
Pricing and Availability
In Australia, Disney+ will officially launch on November 19th, 2019. This is when you should expect Apps to become available on the App Store for download.
There will be two subscription plans available and two price points. A month-to-month and an annual plan. In terms of pricing, the monthly membership will cost AUD$8.99 per month. While the yearly option will cost just AUD$89.99 – around AUD$7.50 a month.
