Apple has announced the new, redesigned MacBook Air with M2 chip will be available for order in Australia from Friday, 8th July, at 10:00 pm AEST. It will then be released to customers worldwide on Friday, 15th July.
Last month during WWDC, Apple’s annual Worldwide Developers Conference, Apple unveiled a range of new software and products. Including a redesigned Macbook Air with an all-new Apple silicon chip – the M2.
At the time, Apple indicated that models would be available “next month” (July 2022). And now they have officially confirmed the date orders will be accepted and the release date of the new models.

Pricing and Release
Pricing, in Australia, for the new MacBook Air with Apple M2 Chip and 256GB storage is at a Recommended Retail Price (RRP) of A$1,899. And pricing for a MacBook Air with Apple M2 Chip and 512GB storage is at a Recommended Retail Price (RRP) of A$2,349.
Orders will be accepted from Friday, 8th July, at 10:00 pm AEST at Apple online. Models will be available to customers worldwide, including in Australia, on Friday, 15th July.
University students and teachers of all educational institutes can save A$150 off the Recommended Retail Price, with Apple offering special Educational pricing on MacBook Air from their online store for Education.
