A completely redesigned MacBook Air, powered by a new chip – the Apple M2, has been announced by Apple. The new MacBook Air will be available for order and released in July 2022. And will be priced from a Recommended Retail Price of A$1,999.
The all-new MacBook Air has had its iconic Air tapered edge design refreshed. At just 11.3mm thin, the new design includes a larger 13.6-inch display, 1080p HD camera, MagSafe charging, and more – all with four finishes to choose from.
A new design is not the only thing that has been refreshed with the new model. The Apple M2 Chipm, a next-generation Apple silicone chip, powers the new MacBook Air. It offers a boost in graphics and performance. While still delivering a massive 18-hours of battery life on a single charge.

In Australia, the new MacBook Air with Apple M2 Chip and 256GB storage is priced at a Recommended Retail Price (RRP) of A$1,899. And a MacBook Air with Apple M2 Chip and 512GB storage is priced at a Recommended Retail Price (RRP) of A$2,349.
A more affordable MacBook Air with Apple M1 Chip is still available for purchase. A MacBook Air with Apple M1 Chip is priced at a Recommended Retail Price (RRP) of A$1,499.
University students and teachers of all educational institutes can save A$150 off the Recommended Retail Price. With Apple offering special educational pricing on MacBook Air from their online store for Education.
