Apple retail stores remain open during Sydney’s Lockdown

All of Apple’s Retail Stores around Sydney will remain open during Sydney’s stay-at-home lockdown orders. However, only to Click & Collect online orders, with no walk-in allowed.

Much of Sydney, including Wollongong and Shellharbour, were sent into a 2-week stay-at-home lockdown. Due to an outbreak of COVID-19 around the community of the highly contagious Delta strain. At the time of writing (June 30th, 2021), July 8th is when the lockdown is due to end.

The current orders enable many stores to remain open. And for people to leave their homes for essential goods. And it appears Apple is one of them, with Apple confirming on its website that all of its stores remain open. However, with the following rules:

  • Open to Click & Collect online orders only (from Apple online)
  • No walk-in and general browsing of the store allowed
  • Face masks must be worn

Click & Collect is a convenient way to buy an Apple product from Apple’s online store, but pick it up from an Apple Retail Store. And it is as simple as selecting your nearest Apple Retail Store during the checkout process.
