Apple has (finally) started offering refurbished 2018-released iPad Pro models for sale on their online store. With savings of around 15% off the recommended retail price, free delivery and 14-day returns.
2018-released iPad Pro’s are at the time of writing still current-generation models. And are the first which feature an 11-inch or 12.9-inch all-screen design with Face ID technology. Other features include the A12X Bionic Chip, USB-C connectivity, two cameras, and more. Plus support the new Smart Keyboard and second-generation Apple Pencil.
The iPad Pro went on sale last October and Apple will usually then offer certified refurbished models a few months after release. However, surprisingly it has taken Apple almost a year this time around.
Pricing and Savings
Certified refurbished 2018 iPad Pro models start at a price of A$1,039 (11-inch with Wi-Fi connectivity and 64GB of storage). A price that is A$190 cheaper than the recommended retail price of A$1,229 for a new version. Savings go right up to A$360 depending on the connectivity and storage capacity of the model available.
Apple Certified Refurbished models are exclusively sold by Apple and have all gone through a ‘rigorous refurbishment process’. One which includes testing and inspecting every model and repackaging it with cables and manuals. All refurbished iPad models also include a new outer-shell and battery.
The result is a saving of up to 15% less than when new. But if you are a little unsure, Apple’s free 14-day returns policy does extend to refurbished products.
