In addition to the Apple Watch Earth Day Challenge, Apple has unveiled an Earth Day donation to their trade-in and recycling program – Apple GiveBack. You could also receive a free Apple Store Gift Card for simply taking part.

In this article, you can learn more about what the program is all about, and the donations Apple will be making.

Apple GiveBack Program

Apple GiveBack is a trade-in and recycling program which allows you to send in your old devices for recycling – free. This can be those old iPhone, iPads, and other Apple devices laying around. No matter the model or condition, Apple will accept it for recycling.

Bonus Apple Store Gift Card

Eligible devices you send in will have you rewarded with a bonus Apple Store Gift Card of up to A$470. How much you get back, and if the device you are sending is eligible will vary. It is all determined by the model and its condition.

At the time of writing, the trade-in value of iPhone and other smartphones is up to A$470, or, A$370 for iPads and other tablets. While trade-in on certain Apple Watch models is valued at up to A$210.

Earth Day Donation

While the Apple GiveBack program is ongoing, Apple has announced a limited-time donation. For every device received at Apple Stores and through apple.com/au from April 20th to April 30th, 2018, Apple will make a donation to the non-profit Conservation International.

You can learn more about the program, plus see how much your device could be worth, at https://www.apple.com/au/trade-in/.

    1. Yes you can :) From my understanding is you may be able to even trade it in for credit in the form of an Apple Store Gift Card.
