iMac Pro, Apple’s most powerful Mac ever is now available at selected Apple Stores around Australia. Availability in stores means it is possible to purchase an iMac Pro online and choose to pick it up at your chosen Apple Store. This service is called Apple Store Pickup, I recently I wrote a guide on how to use the service.
The iMac Pro is configurable online with the option to increase the processor, storage, memory, graphics, and more. The ‘standard’ configuration features an 8-core processor, 32 GB memory, 1 TB SSD, and 8GB graphics.
At the time of writing only units of this configuration is available in stores. Apple currently has a number of retail stores in NSW, ACT, Victoria, Queensland, Adelaide, and Perth.
The iMac Pro has been designed to perform intensive tasks, efficiently. This includes real-time 3D rendering, VR creation, machine learning, and professional video editing or music production.
The iMac Pro features a 27-inch Retina 5K display with powerful technologies in a new space grey enclosure. This includes Xeon processors of up to 18-cores, 22 Teraflops of graphics, solid state storage drives, and fast memory RAM.
The iMac Pro starts at A$7,299 with free delivery or pickup and 14-day free returns, when purchased from Apple online. If you purchase with Apple’s Educational Pricing offer you can save A$560.
