Apple Music Voice Plan announced, powered by Siri

Apple has announced a new and more affordable Apple Music subscription plan called Apple Music Voice Plan. Offering subscribers access to 90 million songs, thousands of playlists, Apple Music Radio, and more. All via using their voice via Siri.

Apple Music Voice Plan will launch in Australia later in Spring. At a price of just A$5.99 per month and a one-time, seven-day preview to non-subscribers. Cheaper than the individual plan that is priced at A$11.99 per month.

Key features of the Apple Music Voice Plan are as follows:

  • Access Apple Music including 90 million songs, thousands of playlists, personalised mixes, and more by using Siri
  • Listen to hundreds of new mood and activity playlists
  • Full playback controls including unlimited song skipping
  • Easily switch to other Apple Music plans for other features including Spatial Audio, Lossless Audio, Lyrics, Music Videos, and much more

A Siri-enabled device will be required to use the Apple Music Voice Plan including:

  • HomePod Mini
  • AirPods
  • CarPlay
  • iPhone
  • iPad
  • Apple Watch
  • Apple TV
  • and Mac

However, some features from the Apple Music service are not offered on the Apple Music Voice Plan. Including Spatial Audio and Lossless Audio, lyrics, Music Videos, and more. But it will be easy to switch other plans.

Availability and Pricing

In Australia, Apple Music Voice Plan will launch later in spring, 2021. For a recommended retail price of A$5.99 per month. More affordable than the individual plan at A$11.99 or family plan with up to six accounts for A$17.99.
