Apple has launched its new ‘Apple Gift Card‘ in Australia, replacing the previous ‘iTunes’, ‘App Store’, and ‘Apple Store’ gift cards. Making it simpler and easier to give the gift of Apple.
Previously Apple offered several different types of gift cards, each valid for certain products or services. For example, the ‘App Store’ gift card allowed for purchases on the App Store. Apple Store Gift Cards, however, could be used to buy Apple products in Apple Retail or Apple online. Itunes Gift Cards were not valid to buy an Apple product on Apple online.
The new Apple Gift Cards replace the separate gift cards, meaning it is valid just about everywhere Apple, including:
- Apple online – including Apple products, accessories, and more
- App Store – games, apps, and more
- Servies – including iCloud, Apple Arcade, Fitness+, News+, Apple TV+, Apple Music, and more
- Movies, Music, TV Shows, and more
- Apple Books
Importantly, Apple Gift Cards are solely for the purchase of goods and services from the Apple products and services listed. Therefore, if you or someone is asked to use Apple Gift Cards to pay for something else, it is likely spam.
Buying Gift Card
Apple Gift Cards can be purchased in Australia online from Apple. They are available in several designs in amounts of A$30, A$50, A$100, or Other Amount. A personalised message can then be added. The card is emailed to the person within an hour.
