iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Mini will soon be available in a new colour – purple. Joining the existing choices of colours that including blue, green, black, white, (PRODUCT)RED.
The design of iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini includes a flat-edged aluminium design and precision-milled back glass. And on the front, the Ceramic Shield, the strongest glass Apple has made. The aluminium and back glass is finished in the new purple colour. And there is a colour-matched wallpaper available to use in iOS.
Other than the new colour, no other changes have been made. iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini feature 5G, powered by the A14 Bionic chip, the fastest chip in a smartphone. The display is an edge-to-edge OLED display that is available in two sizes. 6.1-inches on the iPhone 12 and 5.4-inches on the iPhone 12 Mini. More on iPhone 12 can be found on Apple’s website.
Pricing and Availability
The purple iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Mini will be available for pre-order from 10:00 pm AEST on April 23rd. And will be released around Australia from Friday, April 30th. It will be available in Apple Retail and Apple online, plus selected Apple Authorised Resellers and carriers such as Optus, Telstra, and Vodafone.
Pricing starts at a recommended retail price (RRP) of A$1,199 for an iPhone 12 mini. Larger iPhone 12 models start from a recommended retail price (RRP) of A$1,349. Pricing does vary depending on the model storage size.
