Jason Sudeikis won the award for “Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series” in the “Musical or Comedy” category. The award is the first won by an actor for an Apple TV+ original series.
In the series ‘Ted Lasso’, Jason Sudeikis plays as a small-time college football coach from Kansas hired to coach a professional soccer team in England, despite having no experience coaching soccer.
The comedy series has become a hit series on Apple TV+, and well-rated too. At the time of writing, the series is holding a 98% audience rating from 557 ratings on Rotten Tomatoes.
Season 1 is currently available for streaming, while filming has started on a second season. Apple has also ordered a third and final season.
