Sony has officially announced that Apple TV will be one of many entertainment apps coming to Playstation 5. And will launch on the first day of availability of its next-generation console on November 12th.

The Apple TV app on Playstation 5 brings the ability to buy or rent movies, and stream TV shows as well as existing purchases from the iTunes store. And Apple Originals on Apple TV+, Apple’s video streaming service. Bringing shows like The Morning Show (Morning Wars in Australia), Ted Lasso, Mythic Quest: Raven’s Banquet. And hit movie such as On The Rock, Beastie Boys Story, and featuring Tom Hanks – Greyhound. With new content arrive each and every month.

Since the launch of Apple TV+ last year, Apple has been working on expanding the service to more devices. And no doubt launching on PlayStation will allow the service to reach many more people. As Playstation 5 supports 4K streaming, Apple TV+ content (Apple Originals) will stream in up to 4K. With support for Dolby Vision, HDR, and Dolby Atmos audio.
