Given the recent outbreaks of COVID-19 around Melbourne, Apple has decided to again close one store in Victoria. And will remain closed indefinitely from tomorrow, July 2nd.
Apple Highpoint located in Highpoint Shopping Centre is the first store Apple has decided to close. Making it the first store to shut its doors since closures earlier in the year due to the initial wave of COVID.
At the time of writing, all other Apple Retail Stores around Victoria will remain open. Including Apple Fountain Gate, Apple Chadstone, Apple Southland, and Apple Doncaster.
However, stores which remain open have limited hours and other protections in place, including:
Face coverings/masks must be worn (are provided)
Touchless temperature checks
Limited store capacity
Continuous deep cleaning
Alternatively, Apple’s online store remains open with free delivery and convenient pick-up options around Australia. Recently Apple launched same-day delivery within a small area around Apple Broadway. With plans to roll out to more areas soon.
