Given the recent outbreaks of COVID-19 around Melbourne, Apple has decided to again close one store close all of its Retail Stores in Victoria. And will remain closed indefinitely from July 9th.
Apple Highpoint located in Highpoint Shopping Centre was the first store to be closed. But with the majority of Melbourne and Victoria in a 6-week lockdown Apple has decided to close all remaining stores. Making it the second time they have had to shut doors since closures earlier in the year.
At the time of writing, all other Apple Retail Stores around Australia will remain open. However, stores which remain open have limited hours and other protections in place, including:
Face coverings/masks must be worn (are provided)
Touchless temperature checks
Limited store capacity
Continuous deep cleaning
Apple’s online store remains open with free delivery and convenient pick-up options around Australia, including Victoria and Melbourne. Recently Apple launched same-day delivery within a small area around Apple Broadway. With plans to roll out to more areas soon.
