Second-generation iPhone SE unveiled, starting from just AUD$749

A few years ago, the iPhone SE became one of the best selling iPhone models. And today it makes its return with a popular design and new features. Better yet remains the most affordable iPhone starting from a Recommended Retail Price of AUD$749.

The second-generation iPhone SE features a 4.7-inch Retina HD Display, Touch ID, A13 Bionic Chip, and best Single-Camera system in an iPhone. Along with Touch ID for secure authentication and Apple Pay, wireless charging, and more. All with a compact design that Apple first debuted with the iPhone 8.

iPhone SE (2020) features an aerospace-grade aluminium and durable glass design with an all-black front. Three colours are available to choose from – black, white, and (PRODUCT)RED. The design is also water and dust-resistant with an IP67 rating. Giving the iPhone water resistance for 30 minutes in up to 1 meter.

A portion of proceeds for iPhone SE (PRODUCT)RED purchases will go directly to Global Fund’s newly established COVID-19 Response — providing funding to countries in need of PPE, diagnostics treatment, lab equipment, public safety communications, supply chain support and more — as well as HIV/AIDS grants that provide testing, counselling, treatment and prevention programs with a specific focus on eliminating transmission of the virus from mothers to their babies.

Pricing and Availability

In Australia, the second-generation iPhone SE (2020) starts at a Recommended Retail Price of A$749 with 64GB storage. It is also available with 128GB storage for A$829 and 256GB storage for A$999.

Pre-orders begin at 10:00 pm AEST on Friday, 17 April from Apple’s online store and the Apple Store app.

All models will then be available in stores and online from Friday, 24th April 2020. However, it is likely Apple’s own Retail Stores will remain closed. Apple closed all their retail stores indefinitely due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
