Apple Recieves Multiple Golden Globe nominations for “Morning Wars”

Apple TV+ has become the first streaming service to receive a Golden Globe nomination in its launch year. With Apple receiving multiple nominations for its hit series “Morning Wars” (known as “The Morning Show” elsewhere around the world). Including best TV Series in the Drama category.

The Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) has given Apple three Golden Globe nominations. Including best TV series (Drama). And dual ‘best performance by an Actress in a Television Series’ nominations to actresses Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon. Both of who are also executive producers of the show.

After the nominations, Zack Van Amburg, Apple’s head of Worldwide Video has gone on to say: “After the debut of Apple TV+ just last month, today’s nominations are a true testament to the powerful storytelling that went into ‘ Morning Wars,’ as well as all of our Apple Originals.”

“The Morning Wars” (“The Morning Show”) explores the cutthroat world of morning news and the lives of the people who help America wake up in the morning. Told through the lens of two complicated women working to navigate the minefield of high-octane jobs while facing crises in both their personal and professional lives, “The Morning Show” is an unapologetically candid drama that looks at the power dynamics between women and men, and women and women, in the workplace.

The awards will be presented at the 77th Annual Golden Globe Awards on January 5th, 2020.
