Chernobyl, a drama miniseries by HBO which has gone on to be the highest-rated TV series can now be purchased on iTunes. With all 5 episodes available in Australia in full 1080p at a price of A$14.99.
The miniseries follows the tragedy that occurred following the catastrophic explosion of the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant. One of the worst man-made disasters which saw massive amounts of radioactive material released across Belarus, Russia and Ukraine. As well as Scandinavia and Western Europe.
The result of the disaster becomes clearer in a gripping way throughout the series. From the realisation of what has actually occurred, the effort to contain the fire, and loss of life. And the effect the disaster still has on those who lived there still to this day.
HBO produced the miniseries in association with Sky UK and was written by Craig Mazin and directed by Johan Renck. Since its release, it has become the highest-rated TV series – ever. Even beating Game of Thrones which finished off some weeks ago. At the time of writing, Chernobyl has an average audience score of 98% on Rotten Tomatoes.
In Australia, Chernobyl can be purchased from iTunes at a price of A$14.99. All episodes will then be available for downloading and streaming.
