The team behind Apple Music have curated the Best of 2018, as done over the past number of years. With a dedicated section of curated playlists, song, album, breakthrough artist, and artist of the year, and more.
For 2018, Apple has awarded Drake as the best Artist of the year. Back in June, he released his latest album Scorpion which received 170 million streams in the first 24-hours of availability. Breakout Artist of the Year has been given out to Juice WRLD.
Song of the Year has been given to I Like It by Cardi B featuring Bad Bunny & J. Balvin. Apple Music describes “The fiery collaboration between Cardi B, J. Balvin and Bad Bunny made “I Like It” an easy choice…”

Top Charts
This year’s best of joins the new Global Charts released earlier in the year. A new feature which Apple Music implemented which sees each country receiving its own Top 100 playlist that is automatically updated with the top 100 songs streamed in each country.
Personally, I would like to see Apple Music offer a personalised best of as Spotify does. Hopefully next year.
