Apple Revamps Their Australian Certified Refurbished Online Store

Apple has given their Certified Refurbished online store a significant update. With an all-new design making navigating and buying refurbished products easier. Plus highlighting the benefits of buying refurbished with a new ‘Why Refurbished’ section.

Apple Refurbished

Apple’s Certified Refurbished models are Apple-products sold directly from Apple themselves that have undergone a strict refurbished process. This involves ensuring they work, repackaging them, a new battery and outer-shell for iPad, and more.

Every Apple Certified Refurbished product completes a rigorous refurbishment process that includes full testing that meets the same functional standards as new Apple products. Your refurbished device is truly “like new,” with special savings of up to 15% less than when new. – Apple

Most importantly it is where Apple heavily discounts products. In fact, they offer 15% or more on current generation iPad and Mac models. More recently they announced savings of up to A$620 on MacBook Pro models. But in some cases, they offer upwards of 24% off iPad models.

New Design

The new design makes browsing their refurbished store much easier. With a clearer breakup of iPad, Mac, Apple TV, iPod, and Accessories. From there it is possible to filter down to available products by models and sizes.

I was hoping to see refurbished Apple Watch, iPhone, iMac, iMac Pro, and Mac Pro become available on the Australian store. But here Apple is only offering refurbished Mac, iPad, iPod, Apple TV, and accessories. Recently Apple announced refurbished HomePod in the USA, however, not the case here – hopefully that will change in the future.

Other changes include a clearer idea on how much you end up saving. Apple is now indicating the total amount saved next to the price for all current-generation products.

Shop Online

Apple’s Refurbished Store is exclusively available on their online store which can be found here. Apple is offering free delivery and returns on all purchases. Keep in mind, stock does quickly disappear, but is often replenished quickly.
