Apple has very quietly sent invites out for an event to be held later this month. It will be the first event of the year.
The invitation to the event does not reveal a lot but does feature an Apple logo that does appear to be drawn with an Apple Pencil. As too the text underneath the logo “Let’s take a field trip”. Apple Pencil is an Apple-designed accessory which allows you to draw, annotate, and illustrate, on the iPad Pro with precision.
The invitationApple goes on to say they will reveal “Creative new ideas for teachers and students”. As the event will take place at a high school in Chicago, US, it is clear the focus of this event is all about creativity and education.

The last time Apple held an event of this nature, it was in 2012, where they announced textbooks for the iBooks store. They also revealed the iBooks Author app for Mac. A lot has changed since then, therefore, it will be interesting to see what is announced this time around.
Time and Date
The event will take place on March 27th, 2018, at 10 am. In Australia this will be Wednesday, 28 March 2018 at 2 am AEDT Sydney-time, while over in Perth it start at 11 pm, Tuesday, 27th March, AWST. Unlike most other events, it does appear Apple will not be live-streaming the event.
