With the new Apple TV 4K supporting 4K HDR, Apple has added a new section to the Australian iTunes Store showcasing movies that are available in the new format for either rent or purchase.
The section is broken into a number of lists including new releases, action & adventure, drama, comedy, kids & family, and lastly a list which shows “All 4K Movies”. At the time of writing some new releases available in 4K include Wonder Woman, Logan, Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them, and more.
All 4K HDR movies on the iTunes store are priced the same as the HD version and all existing purchases are automatically upgraded at no extra cost.
What Is 4K HDR
When you watch a movie in 4K HDR you get four times as many pixels as you do with HD. This means the movie is sharper, crisper while HDR (which stands for High dynamic range) delivers colours which are brighter, richer, and more true to life.
