Apple warranty now 2 years in Australia – Information

Apple Australia has agreed to give us Australians 24-month standard warranty replacing 1 year warranty for the first time after an investigation by the ACCC.

You can product Apple products from the Apple Online Store

When does this start?

This has not been confirmed, however it’s likely it will start immediately as it is now law for warranty to be 24 months in Australia.

Which products does this apply to?

All products from Apple including:

  • Mac
  • iPad
  • iPhone
  • iPods
  • and other products.

What about existing products?

While Apple has not specified yet these details there is no reason as to why Apple cannot argue against providing you 2 years warranty for a recently purchased product.

If you have a issue my suggestion is to use Apples serial number check on their website which will tell you your warranty information. The serial number is usually located on the bottom/back of your Apple product.

Note: This post will be updated as more information if given from Apple Australia.
