The 2019-released MacBook Air now has a True Tone Retina Display and a new starting price of A$1,699. But if you are looking for an even better deal and are happy to do without True Tone – then you can now buy a 2018-released MacBook Air for only A$1,359!
Each time Apple releases a new Mac (or iPad) they place previous generation stock up for purchase on their Certified Refurbished Store. And eventually, the current-generation models will become available – but only after some months of availability.
It is fair to assume that when you buy a previous-generation model you may miss out on significant new features. But in this case, the differences between the 2018 and 2019 MacBook Air models are very minor. In fact, the only difference is True Tone, a feature which allows the display to automatically change colour temperature depending on the lighting environment around you – that’s it. Which makes being able to buy a MacBook Air for just A$1,359 a very good deal.
At the time of writing, 2018-released MacBook Airs can now be purchased at a starting price of A$1,359. That is a massive A$290 cheaper than the entry-level price of A$1,699. Better yet, the next model up with larger 256GB of SSD storage is just A$1,609. That is A$390 better off then the new model at A$1,999.
Where to Purchase
