Apple has announced they will be unveiling a new redesign of their Apple Broadway store in Sydney. With an email being sent out inviting us to ‘Rediscover Apple Broadway’ and to see what’s new. Set to take place this Friday on May 10th.
The email has come at a surprise because it’s the Apple Bondi store which has been closed for some weeks for redevelopment. And there was no news that Apple Broadway was also being upgraded. It remains open today, therefore, Apple will be upgrading the store without requiring a store closure.
I reached out to Apple to ask if perhaps the email was sent in error. And if it meant to read Apple Bondi instead. However, Apple has confirmed with me that the invite is indeed correct.

Apple Broadway should receive the same next-generation store design Apple has implemented across a number of its stores around the world. Apple Chadstone in Melbourne was the first store in Australia to gain an update.
Expect to see a refreshed store design with a large wall display for Today at Apple sessions, more timber over aluminium, and new wall shelves for accessories. Accessories are now categorised into collections. For example, smart home, music, app-connected gadgets and so on.
More information can be found on Apple’s website, however, at the time of writing there is yet to be any other mention of the event. Apple Bondi remains closed with no reopening date announced.
