Myer, the largest department store operator in Australia has announced they will pull Apple products from their shelves. According to multiple media reports, the decision has been made due to Myer wanting to focus on higher-margin products.
The decision will see all 16 stores in which sold Apple products no longer sell any product from Apple. From the iPhone to iPads, Apple Watches, HomePods, and more. Myer will also pull Apple from its online store.
“Myer has made it clear that it will not chase unprofitable sales and HMAS made this decision as we could not reach acceptable commercial terms that were in the best interests of the company and shareholders”. – Myer
Apple have had a long partnership with Myer over the years. With some of the biggest Apple releases being launched with Myer. Including the iPad, Apple Watch, and more recently – HomePod. Just this week Apple announced the new iPad Mini, all-new iPad Air, updatediMac models, and second-generation AirPods. However, it seems none of these releases will make it to Myer.
