Apple has unveiled the next season of their Emmy-winning show Carpool Karaoke: The Series will be released from Saturday, September 13th. With episodes arriving each week and available to watch exclusively on the Apple TV app.
CarPool Karaoke
Carpool Karaoke is a weekly series by Apple that features celebrities sharing a car. While doing so, sing to their favourite music and share stories during the drive. The first series went on to win an Emmy Award in the shortform variety series category.
The series ties in well with Apple Music, Apple’s Streaming Service because all the music you hear can be streamed. The team at Apple Music even curates music playlists, albums, and the artists you see from the show.
Season 2
The new season is expected to carry on from the first. It will again feature a range of new celebrities each episode. Apple has revealed a number which will be seen throughout the season. They include:

- Tyra Banks
- Jason Sudeikis
- Miss Piggy
- Quincy Jones
- Rashida Jones
- Mathew McConaughey
- Snoop Dogg
- Andy Samberg
- and Weird Al Yankovic

Stream Free
Carpool Karaoke: The Series will be available to watch free and exclusively on the Apple TV app. While the app is available on the Apple TV, it too is on iPhone and iPad. Meaning if you own any of those devices you can stream the new series for free.
This is different from the way Apple streamed the first season which could be streamed from Apple Music. While it was also free, you had to become an Apple Music member.
I’ve discussed the Apple TV app in the past, in short, it allows you to discover and stream your favourite TV Shows and Movies from a number of providers. The app is where Apple is set to release their own original content, however they’ve been fairly quiet on that. They have however revealed a multi-year partnership with Oprah Winfrey.
Release Date
Carpool Karaoke: The Series season 2 will premiere in Australia on Saturday, October 13th, 2018. A new episode will release the same time each week.
