Vodafone is joining Telstra today in announcing Unlimited Mobile Data plans, suitable for mobiles, such as the iPhone. However, unlike Telstra (who only has one plan), Vodafone will be offering Unlimited Data at three price points.
Vodafone Unlimited Mobile Data
From tomorrow, May 2nd, Vodafone will be offering three 12-month Unlimited Mobile Data plans at A$60, A$80, and A$100 a month. All plans include unlimited standard national talk and text, and Unlimited Data.
Each of these plans include an amount of ‘Max Speed’ data which can be used at Vodafone’s full network speed. Once used up, data will slow to 1.5Mbps, but there will be no data-cap. Telstra’s new unlimited data plan works the same way, however, Vodafone are offering more ‘Max Speed’ data included on their plans.
The A$60 monthly plan will include 40GB of Max speed data, while the A$80 plan will increase this to 70GB. The top plan at A$100 a month will include a decent 120GB at launch.
There are also a number of Vodafone-only extras thrown in. This includes earning up to 20,000 Qantas Points when you sign up to an Unlimited Plan online, and Vodafone’s $5-a-day international roaming. This gives you the ability to use your ‘Max Speed Data’, calls, and texts, in over 60 countries around the world, for just A$/day.
