The 2018 Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras will be the 40th, and the first since marriage equality was voted in Australia. To celebrate, Apple Music has created a new playlist to celebrate the event.
The new playlist comes days after Apple revealed a new Shot on iPhone campaign, which celebrates same sex marriages in Australia.
Mardi Gras Anthems
The playlist, Mardi Gras Anthems, has been created by the team of curators at Apple Music. The same team who create thousands of playlists which are available on Apple Music for streaming and downloading.
Apple Music goes on to say more than ever, this year is set to be an incredible celebration of progress, inclusion, and equality. So to get into the mood, a range of classic tracks in the playlist will “transport you to the dance floor”.
Mardi Gras Anthems Playlist on Apple MusicThere are 100 songs in the playlist, lasting for 7 hours and 12 minutes. The playlist starts with Beleive from Cher, who is, of course, headlining this year’s, Mardi Gras.
