The iPhone X, Apple’s newest iPhone is about to be available for pre-order to 55 countries around the world, Australia included. iPhone X
The new iPhone X was announced in September alongside the new iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus which both have already gone on sale. Compared to these iPhone models, the iPhone X is entirely different.
The design of the iPhone X brings all-glass and aluminium with the entire front of the phone featuring a 5.8-inch Super Retina Display. By the entire front being a display it means it is the first iPhone with no home button.
It also includes the new A11 Bionic chip, wireless charging, new rear and front-facing cameras, a revolutionary new technology called FaceID and more. FaceID allows the iPhone to be unlocked by your face and other features including Animoji – where emojis can be animated based on your facial expressions.
iPhone X Pre-Order
The iPhone X will be available for pre-order in Australia from Friday, October 27th at 6:01Â pm AEDT on Apple online and the Apple Store app for iPhone and iPad. Apple accepts both outright purchases and reservations to sign up to one with a carrier in-store.
A number of carriers will also be accepting pre-orders at the same time including Optus, Vodafone and Telstra where they will soon be releasing their plans – typically 2-year contracts.
Pricing
The iPhone X is available in two colours (Silver or Space Grey) and two storage sizes (64GB or 256GB). Pricing does vary depending on which model you choose. Pricing in Australia is as follows:
