On top of announcing the new iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus Apple refreshed their Apple Watch product line by revealing Apple Watch Series 2 – the ultimate device for a healthy life.
The new series of Apple Watch features Water Resistance to 50 Meters, GPS, Two-Times-Brighter Display, Dual-Core Processor & the new watchOS 3 software update that was revealed earlier on in the year. There’s new advanced technology built-in, an Apple Watch Nike+ model and a new Apple Watch Edition that is made from ceramic, one of the hardest materials in the world.
The new Apple Watch series 2 has built-in GPS which enables the ability to run with Apple Watch for the first time without an iPhone and apps can also take advantage of the technology to offer better features such as detailed fitness tracking and more – including viewing your route on a map complete with your running speed.
Swimming, surfing, and playing in the pool with the Apple Watch Series 2 is all possible with water resistant of up to 50 meters. Swimmers will be happy to learn Apple has spent hundreds of hours of research to develop two new workout options for the pool and open water which counts laps, track average lap pace, and auto-detect stroke type to accurately measure the active calorie burn.
Apple has also teamed up with Nike to offer Apple Watch Nike+ with exclusive Nike Sports Bands.

Apple Watch Series 2 is priced from A$529 inc. GST and is available in two different case sizes 38m and 42mm in gold, silver, or space grey aluminium cases – there is a variety of bands available. Apple Watch Series 2 Edition in ceramic starts at A$1,799 inc. GST.
