Apple Pay Now Supported At ING Direct And Macquarie Bank

Apple Pay, Apple’s contactless payment service has expanded further in Australia with Macquarie Bank and ING Direct bringing support to their customers from today. Their support is now reflected on Apple’s Australian website where it shows a growing list of participating banks.

This means those at Macquarie Bank, ING Direct, or any of the other participating banks can make secure purchases in stores, with-in apps, and even on the web with iPhone, Apple Watch, iPad, and the Mac. All you need to do is add an eligible Visa, MasterCard or American Express credit or debit card to Apple Pay.

No card details are exchanged at the point of sale and all payments are authenticated using Touch ID making it one of the most secure contactless payment services in the world.

  • Open the wallet app on your iPhone
  • Select the plus sign (+)
  • Follow the set-up instructions

Apple Pay can be used at thousands of locations around Australia including major stores such as Big W, Woolworths, Myer, McDonalds, Target, and more.
