Apple Announces Pick-up Point Delivery Option

Apple Shipping Online Store

Apple continues to improve the delivery and shipping options for their Online Store in Australia with the announcement of a new shipping option called Pick-up Point, a service which expands on the pick-up from an Apple Retail Store service announced only just last year.

The new Pick-up Point service allows you to choose to have your order from the Apple Online Store be delivered to a nearby location, such as a newsagent for you to pick-up, rather than having to wait at home or work for the delivery. Once you have chosen your location you will be updated on the progress of your order from emails and text messages including when you can pick-up your order.

You can also choose to pickup your order from a Apple Retail Store, with their pick up service announced last year. This new Pick-up Point service is a great addition for those who don’t have a store near by. There are over 900 locations Australia-wide, so there is a high chance a pickup location is in your area.

How To Use The Pick-up Point Delivery

While shopping from the Apple Online Store and you’ve selected the item(s) you want to order, you will be presented with a number of delivery options during the checkout process.

  • Choose “Delivery to Home” or “Deliver to a Pick-up Point”.
  • Click the Pick-up Point option.
  • Enter your postcode and select the location you wish to have your order ship too.

To collect your item(s), you will need to bring your order number plus a government-issued photo ID (such as a passport or driving licence). If you don’t have a government-issued ID you can bring any other photo ID containing your full name (e.g. a student card) along with one of the following: a utility bill, telephone bill, council rates notice, pay slip or bank statement.
