Apple releases new iMacs – September 2013

Apple Australia has announced brand new updates to their desktop iMac computer line. While the appearance is the same Apple has updated the internals making the iMac even faster.

What’s new?

The appearance is the same and Apple has the same 21.5″ inch and 27″ inch models available. They have though made some changes internally including:

  • New CPUs (Quad core i5s) making the iMac even faster
  • Better Intel Iris Pro graphics – Perfect for gaming
  • Faster SSD storage

New iMac cost

In Australia Apple has set the pricing at $1,599 for the 21.5-inch base model and $1,849 for the higher end model. While the base 27-inch and higher end 27-inch is $2,199 and $2,499.
